Where do you work? Just curious. My first job was in a department store, that is long gone (but way after I left. My last job was at Walgreens. My husband -a musician worked on the Delta Queen Steamboat & was gone for several weeks at a time, but in spring & fall it just round trips to New Orleans (where we lived at the time). I needed a job that allowed flexible days. He retired 20 years ago & we moved to Central Florida. It was easy to transfer. I retired 10 years ago,but I do know what a madhouse it is during the season.
Maybe he had help from the cat?
We have Sandhill cranes in Central Florida. They are big & nasty. When my outside cat was a kitten he was just sitting there watching them when they attacked. I was able to distract them long enough for him to get away, then had to hurry inside as they came after me. When they wander in all people can do is stay away. They are a protected species. The reason the 2 cats are outside is because I won’t even come near me. The other is her nephew. Also we have protected wetland right behind & without outside cats we get snakes etc. I make sure they are well fed & have a blanket in a protected area for when it gets cold. Luckily not freezing here.
It’s 3 French & 2 Turtle doves. Don’t want to cheat him out of 3 birds, do we?
Not to mention empty boxes paper that accidentally falls on the floor…
My late husband used to be amazed that the cats always knew when a toy was for them. I explained that they all came with catnip, so of course they knew.
Yes you were. All of us had our Christmas wish granted.
I second that!
It’s not that she is a bad cook- it’s that they don’t like the ingredients.
I’m hoping they’ll fix it tomorrow so we can come back & read it.
