Studies have shown that cats kill 2.4 billions songbirds in the U.S. annually. The International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) lists domestic cats as one of the world’s worst non-native invasive species. Don’t let your cats outside.
Garfield has no problem with eating birds, rabbits, and squirrels, yet he refuses to eat mice, which can also be found out in the wild. Pretty hypocritical if you ask me.
Killer whales rip open the bellies of sharks to snag the liver. Other predators also have dietary preferences for organs, brains and additional rich body parts.
I like Garfield, but this isn’t even a bit funny. Cats kill songbirds, which is why the only songbird that still shows up around here is the mockingbird, and they’re mean and aggressive and hate cats. Cats do kill mice and rats, which is good—granted—but it’s better to keep cats indoors and spayed and neutered. (Coyotes and foxes love kitty meat, as it happens, another reason to keep your Garfield indoors.)

No thanks. I’ll stick with a pizza buffet.

Garfield, does that even include — oh, I don’t know — skunk, opossum, raccoon, muskrat, bear, and even cougar?

I can’t recall the last time Garfield ate anything which didn’t come by dialing the phone. It probably never happened.

Aaaahhh yes, to get a cat’s attention, is through his stomach, ye ol’ cliché.

Among some of the things that bears do in the woods, they view campers sleeping in sleeping bags as the soft tacos of “Nature’s Buffet.”

But Garfield, you don’t strike me as much of a hunter. Jon makes it easy for you with his canned food.;-D

And don’t forget all those edible plants. Those dandelions coming up now are reported to have tender leaves that are good in salads and stews.

I guess Garfield also loves snakes (since they also live in the forest)

Garfield hasn’t realized that when he’s in the forest he’s on the menu too.
