“And I would roll 500 milesAnd I would roll 500 moreJust to be the man who rolls a thousand milesTo fall down at your door” ~ The Proclaimers (500 Miles)
In the United States Marine Corps boot camp, the Drill Instructors used to count push ups “1…2…3…4…5…2…2…3…2… etc” Told to The Count by a friend. OK. It wasn’t. Seems funnier now than it did at the time.
In high school I made good use of the weight room. After a year even a coach complimented me on my skeletal musculature development. I just needed a balance to my mind. I was skinny when I started. It didn’t attract girls to me.

Too bad that Hobbes isn’t here to make a comment. His comments on Calvin are usually very good.

Exercise. I could watch it all day………

This explains how the guy who claimed to do 40,000 pushups in one day did it (as mentioned in today’s Ripley’s Believe It or Not comic strip).

Putting your trousers on counts as a pullup. Bootlaces? Some squats.
Button the shirt, … working on fine motor skills.
We live in the boonies, a walk around the block and I might be gone for an hour or two.
Left turn at the corner, a mile around, right turn, 5 miles.
