    Nice unfounded optimism there, Mikey.

The GQP laid a YUGE goose egg these midterms and everyone knows it! They should have made far better gains.

And most sane people approve of Biden and think he’s been doing better than we expected.

Watching conservatives try to pull a flaming poo-poo of victory out of the 2022 midterms is hilarious. He won and the Democrats run because they’re not you. This was a repudiation of the GOP and Trumpism. The GOP is fracturing and that’s AWESOME. Watching all of you feed off of each other for the next. Two years will be popcorn worthy.

Didn’t Trump have the same in 2018? Lost the house, kept the senate and never had more than 50% approval rating?

Criticism is our national pastime, and discontent the driving motivation behind our successes, with schadenfreude seasoning all our passions. Joe Biden is doing just fine as president, but who in their right mind would describe him as the perfect choice?

Just like all the presidents before him, he falls far short of the ideal person we can never all agree on anyhow. Granted that our tastes do run towards personality cults [Taylor Swift occupies Billboard’s entire top 10], we are never content and soon move on to something and someone we think better of.

Sure, we’re Americans with a capital ‘A’. The authorities kicked our forbearers out of every decent country in the world. We don’t do kings & queens, or religious idols, or contentment with what we have. It’s the price of progress — and progress we gotta have to survive. Loyalty and steadfastness are very good things in relation to other very good things, not so much with deeply flawed human beings.

Joe Biden voters consider him the best practical choice from a questionable lot. Don Trump voters consider him to be special beyond special, the only chance to save America, all criticism hatefully motivated by a wish to see America fail. Who ever heard of a tricked-out pickup truck roaring through the streets with two giant LBJ or BUSH flags flying? It would be laughably ridiculous. American presidents are designed for replacement when they lose, and not long after when they win.

And whilst Trump is the biggest loser, Joe Biden has never lost an election.

Two words regarding a GOP victory:

    Kevin McCarthy

The boy is a moron with no leadership ability. Nothing will be accomplished in a House “led” by Speaker McCarthy.

You’re out of touch with reality, Mr. Ramirez. Despite those factors, the Dems have retained control of the Senate, the Repubs might have a slight majority in the House, and numerous key state races have been taken by Dems. Voters have rejected the insanity of most (but not all) MAGAt Republican candidates as not representing them.

Ramirez again throws out a half-baked RW meme to cover the fact that the Republicans did dismally. Not only did they fail to take the Senate in a supposed blow-out election year, they will barely take the House, leaving McCarthy at the mercy of the Radical Right Wing faction of crazies if he wants to be Speaker.

But go ahead Mike, complain at how Biden, with all those negatives, managed to do something very few presidents have been able to do. Perhaps you can use your artistic skills to show us why you guys did so poorly instead of complaining how Biden did so well.

    Here’s another VICTORY cartoon:

Trump and McConnell depicted as arsonists lighting an apartment building on fire with a gasoline soaked Constitution, flag and bible.

A throng of women, gen-Y, and gen-Z firefighters with I VOTED stickers douse the fire, and the arsonists – toupees and glasses knocked off.

A diversity of building residents lean out the windows, cheering.

The only reason Republicans can win the House is DeathSentence illegally gerrymandered the Florida map, and the NY state Dems were so incompetent that they couldn’t even lightly gerrymander the state so a court drew it mostly fairly. That was about 10 seats, and your Fascists couldn’t even win by that margin, Ramirez. Spin that every which way you like, but you and your party stink with the populace starting to figure it out. How about coming up with a single plan that will help regular Americans? You haven’t tried that in my 47.5 years on this planet. And no, giving the 1% all the money doesn’t help regular Americans.

    Oh honey!

Even with an unpopular President, the GOP failed to get the senate and will probably have the smallest House margin in 90 years.

So… why do you think that is. Do people not dislike Biden or so people just really, really, really, really hate your party?

At this point, it’s not even perfectly clear that the House will turn red. Probably, yeah, but not surely. And assuming the Georgia election follows along as expected, the Senate will be even more (by one) firmly liberal.
