Q-Tips for the Jolly Green Giant

As noted above, they are Pugil sticks, and yes indeed as pointed out, you can acquire some damage. Watched a couple of guys get knocked out by them.

In Marine Corps boot camp for the pugil training they put me up against a guy about my size, maybe a little shorter, I’m 6’2". I turned around to pick up my pugil stick and when I turned back to face my opponent, they had replaced him with a guy who had to be 6’7" and had 20 lbs on me. It was a short match.

The person who can make the biggest smores wins.

In the second panel I thought Rodney was picking his nose and it was going to be a booger fight. YUK!
