I guess that answer is technically correct, but I think the teacher will want something more.

pretty well can’t be called wrong.

I saw a shark in the gulf many years ago off the coast of florida. I was swimming well down from a very noisy part of the beach and saw ‘something’ in he water, another wave- was it the tip of a pelican wing, another wave-that’s a dorsal fin!

I went way still, like the movie said ‘like a hole in the water’ and watched it swim past heading down the coast. It was a looong time before I could go back in the water.

A better answer, for all shark types, might be “Wherever sharks are.”

I was thinking the same thing. Do a lot of sharks really ram boats? Do Great Whites growl or roar??

One (of many) things I learned teaching is… if you want a specific answer, you need to ask a specific question. (I gave up doing fill-in-the-blank quizzes altogether… students were way too creative)

just for food for thought: Eleven shark-related fatalities were tallied worldwide in 2021 -but: The statistics are grim: up to 100 million sharks are killed each year, 73 million for their fins to service this demand, taking one in three shark species to the brink of extinction.

That’s right kid! And don’t you let that teacher try to tell you to be more specific. It can happen anywhere in the water! (Sorry, currently watching some National Geographic shark documentaries, and these sharks are popping up in a lot new unexpected, locations. But always in the water!)

Bad answer, because that presupposes that at least some attacks have occurred out of of water. Where and when?
