This one made me laugh. This is the Nancy of old. Thanks!
I’ve been reading Nancy for about 50 years (that’s when I learned to read I was looking at the pictures before that), so I reckon I’ll keep reading Nancy for a few more. However, with all due respect to Ms Jaimes, I’m not a big fan of her style of humor so far. I liked the direction that Guy took it, but am glad she didn’t try to continue it, that wouldn’t have been fair to either one. Every cartoonist has their own style, and needs to build on that. For those that keep comparing her style to Bushmiller, I ain’t seeing it folks. Maybe I’ll get used to it, but so far, I’m not impressed.
hmm. Now it’s Lettuce alone.
That is a great story. Thanks for sharing. And Thom, thanks for drawing.
Seems like a few years ago there was someone (comedian perhaps?) that often used fake death scenes in his act. One evening he had a heart attack on stage and died before anyone realized it wasn’t an act.
Bet he doesn’t have enough guts to say that again.
Do you suppose Axel’s brother will be someone Luann knows? Like maybe the “other kid” in the art class whose name I’ve forgotten.
As my mother always told me “The wrong is in doing wrong, not in getting caught.” Come to think of it, she’s 87 and still says that. And you know what? She’s still right.
The old Homer and Jethro song “I’m my own Grandpa” came to mind when I read this.
