I’ve used one too. No/t nearly as fast. Had a back to nature hippy back in the 70’s that built a cabin in the woods. He told me one time he and his wife could cut enough wood with that crosscut saw in one day to last them 2 weeks cooking and heating. Year 2 he had a chainsaw. ;)

    I understand her reasoning completely.

Happy anniversary from the north part of the state John and Kathy Deering.

When I was a kid we had a dog that loved onions. He’d roll his lip back and chomp away. He lived to a ripe old age for a dog.

Good luck finding textbooks. Everything’s gone to online computer based stuff. Never mind the studies that show retention is better when reading from a printed page or actually writing something out. Or that some kids have limited access to the internet. And yes, I realize I’m typing this on the net with a ’puter.

This reminds me of the movie I used to show the kids at school years ago. Savage Garden starring Leslie Nielsen. National Geographic put it out and it was a pretty good, (and funny), show on what went on with the bugs and the bees in a “peaceful” garden.

I remember when one of the royals got married some years back among all the pomp and ceremony. My father said, “I don’t know why they have to make it so complicated and everything. Why don’t they just stand up in front of a justice of the peace and be done with it?”

My mother used to read Highlights to me when I was a kid, (my grandfather had gotten me a subscription). 50 years later she told me it was hard to read Goofus and Gallant. Turns out my prim and proper Mama couldn’t stand Gallant. ;)

You buy from a dealer, you have to fill out the federal form no matter the state. Now the legality to carry varies from state to state.

Happy Anniversary! Here’s to 40 more, (hey, my parents made it to 72 years and 10 days before Dad died, so 80 is not entirely unbelievable ).
