Well said. May all the Yaffle-eers have a blessed Memorial Day. And especially Brian and Jeff.
High school. Whenever the state allows us to have a ceremony. ;)
Had a kindergarten student one time that we had trouble with getting her on the bus, (I was the driver). One time her grandmother shoved her in, I held her arm with one hand and shut the door with the other. Her grandmother told the girl’s mother that was the last time Granny was putting her on the bus, mom could do it from then one. That little girl graduates this year and I still tease her about it.
Still have them and use them.
No! Breezy good. Bad Dan!

Way back in college when everyone was hanging political signs on their dorm room doors (Reagan was running), I put up a poster that copied one of Walt Kelley’[s signs that said “Pogo For President”.
He walked 4 miles in an hour (plus talking to the hotdog man)? Sluggo was really hoofing it.
(average speed of a person walking is 3 miles an hour in case you didn’t know)
Instead of snitches get stitches, it’s now snitches get riches.
I have been a medical first responder and volunteer firefighter for over 20 years as well as a reserve deputy for some time. In fact, my LEO duty right now is primarily active shooter response. Anyway, all our training focuses on the fact you cannot help the patient until the threat is gone. Scene safety takes priority. Makes it hard sometimes when someone needs help right then and you have to take care of some dangerous situation (not always people or even animals), before you can assist but it makes sense, if you are injured/incapacitated in some way, you cannot help them and indeed become a liability yourself.
And, this is a comic strip so time becomes somewhat irrelevant. But Sopapilla better be all right! ;)
