Unlike the right, who demand more guns so that more schoolkids can be killed. And let’s not mention their positively pornographic enthusiasm for capital punishment and dehumanizing treatment of migrants. “Pro-life” my behind – they’re forced birthers, nothing more.

As usual, Gary, you’re making it more complicated than it needs to be. The Supreme Court’s overturning of Roe v. Wade won’t end abortion. It simply kicks the matter over to the states, with the red states restricting and/or banning abortion and the blue states taking steps to protect it. I’ve heard from friends that they are hopeful that this will drive Democrats and independent swing voters to the polls this November when they otherwise would have sat out the election. Then again, with the continued economic turmoil, the GOP will likely have the upper hand. Voters vote their pocketbooks, after all. In 1992, Bill Clinton’s campaign slogan was “It’s the economy stupid”. But the midterms are five months away, so there is still time for inflation to peak and prices to stabilize. So, we’ll see.

Can’t kill what isn’t alive, that’s why it’s an abortion. But you can kill people who are alive by denying them life saving medical care. Or in the case of a virulent disease, encourage one “side” to not betray that side by taking a vaccine.

There are many more sides to this issue than what is portrayed here.

I wonder how the number of abortions last year stack up against those killed by means of a gun?

Want to be pregnant? Do you want to have a baby? Mazel tov! Can’t afford another child? Not ready to be a mother? Your doctor said pregnancy is risky for you in your condition? Well, it is your choice to make, it’s your body. We trust you to know yourself and your situation.

The anti-choice people have now taken control through dubious means. They don’t trust you to make reproductive decisions over your own body. You HAVE to carry a pregnancy to term. Have a miscarriage? Well, the police are going to investigate and subject you to a humiliating gynecological exam by a stranger. You are guilty until proven innocent. We don’t care how you got pregnant; rape, incest, accident…it’s all the same. You have NO choice in the matter.

Here is a question to ponder. How long until these anti-choice people tell women they have to produce children – pregnancy is not a choice, it is mandatory for all women. Think it can never happen? Did you ever think SCOTUS would remove human rights for an entire group of citizens?

Where does it say in the Constitution that you can’t have an abortion.

The DemocRats will continue to milk the abortion charge into the November election.
