She didn’t really need the water until she found out it was off. Now suddenly….

Time to look up and down the street to see if there is a City Crew doing any kind of water and/or sewer work. It they have a trench in the street or along side the curb you probably have found the source of the problem. Also check the local news or Municipal website.

I keep several jugs of bottled water in case of water outages.

Could help here, outside water is from a rainwater tank, not from the water company

I can go longer without water than electricity. Always have gallons of reserve water but no stored electricity . "If it’s yellow, let it mellow, if brown flush it down. You can refill the tank from stored water.

Hello! No point in going into if they are on catchment, well water, back up flushing jugs. The funny point here is if the water is off the outside hose will be off too. Hate having to explain a joke.

I’m not the type to “live off the grid”, so when the power goes out I get nervous. Okay, just call me prissy !

we’re on a well with a pump, so if electricity goes out, so does the water! the first time we got to find out was 6 weeks after we’d moved in, during our housewarming party! :O

I have a power generator that kicks in immediately if the power goes off.

Janis said what is thought many times during a power outage (usually a prolonged one from a hurricane), “It’s hot in here, let’s turn a fan on.”

You can flush with a two gallon bucket of water from a pond, swimming pool, river or stream. Just sayin’.

I just roll and unroll with the flow.

Arlo & Janis wouldn’t make it camping in a tent.

If they don’t have inside water, how do they have outside water? Unless they have a well, then they would have inside water.

No electrical power has no effect on plumbing. If the water has stop flowing due to a broken (main or whatever), nothing can come through the garden hose either……

We always called it a water hose. My college roommate started talking about a hose pipe one time and I had no idea what he was referring to.

Um, if the water isn’t running, the garden hose probably isn’y working, either.

So riddle me this: if the water is off, what good is a garden hose?

If it’s yellow, let it mellow. If it’s brown flush it down. Tree huggers mantra.

Even with the water off, you still have one flush left. In a California water crisis in the 1970s (before I escaped) they promoted a slogan: “If it’s yellow, it’s mellow. If it’s brown, flush it down.” With one left, use it wisely.

Hurricane season has officially begun, so – stock up on that bottled water.

Its already too late but keep voting in those republican climate change deniers, and then you’ll see what a real full blown water crisis is. Think Sahara in the southern states.

No water coming out of the taps, no water coming out of the hose Arlo

RV has a toilet bowl also. So part of our 30 gallons in it can be used for that – as long as we have notice to fill the tanks when a storm is coming and it is not cold weather when the water system is winterized.

I get it Janus. Last night the electric went out Rain storm. I ran upstairs and closed windows……. Then tried to turn on the fan to cool the bedroom down. DUH!

Uh, there is water in the tank. They can flush once with no problem. Tank will refill when the water comes back on.
