I’ll bet that few if any people here know any of the symptoms of lead poisoning. Once they hear of them they’ll think of somebody that fits those symptoms though. And still they’ll do nothing.
Americans don’t know how many people right in their own area are still being poisoned by lead every year. It’s hundreds, and while it goes on they think it only affects the poor. That part of the war on the poor affects almost every community, rich or poor.
Can you name the symptoms? Do you know how much lead is a “safe” amount?
I have to take issue with this toon. Our city water was rated as one of the best waters in the nation, even better than some bottled waters. In fact, some bottled waters come straight from the tap.
At least in the U.S.A. community water systems are almost always the best source of safe drinking water. The problems with lead plumbing are from the private water lines to old homes.

My wife, while in college was tasked to test the city water and 5 different brands of bottled water. The city water was the cleanest.
