Peppermint Patty (aka “Sir”) grows up to be a the White House Press Secretary and has the unenviable job of trying to walk back the comments of a dithering demented old man. Let’s Go, Brandon!

PP has two sets of footwear: skates and sandals.

How about those Russian girls – sweeping the medals at Skate Canada with multiple quads.

And retire from complete exhaustion at 34…

And so an epic story arc begins! Don’t make plans for the next five weeks, fellow readers!

Good thing she’s picking sports that don’t expect her to go to college.

last night was halloween, the great pumpkin’s big time and now they have ice thick enough to skate on?

I’m with PP! At her age, all I wanted to do was skate in the Ice Follies forever!

And so begins what is quite possibly my favorite story arc in all of Peanuts. (The seven-minute frosting one is another good contender, but it won’t be happening for a while.)

Schulz built an ice skating rink in Redwood City that is still in operation. His daughter became a professional figure skater.

The jump looked fine. It would have been nice to see an “AAAAAUGH” as she failed to stick the landing…

In the J.D. Robb books, the main character is a female police lieutenant. The books takes place in 2059-2062, she is called Sir by all the lower ranking cops, and by civilians most of the time. J.D. Robb is an alternate name of Nora Roberts.

I am so glad that Peppermint Patty and Marcie can get married now.
