What Reagan, and all Republican/conservatives fail to comprehend is that "WE, the PEOPLE ARE the government. Our Founders established and fought for the LIBERAL ideal of ‘self government’. conservatives, then called TORY opposed independence.

conservatives are the enemy of the United States of America, and have been since 1774.

I think it was Dwight Eisenhower’s famous exit speech about not trusting the military-industrial complex when the republican party first started going off the rails. Then Lee Atwater (working for Nixon) brought blatant racism into the mix, and also helped turn abortion into a culture war issue so republicans could court Catholic votes. It’s been all downhill from there….

Having just looked at all the news that fit to print I have to say again that I am damn glad I am old. So many GQP representatives in Congress who couldn’t buy a clue. have no idea what is in the Constitution aside from a wee bit of the 2nd amendment. In 2016 I was thinking our Republic had about 50 years before the red state cra cra people took over the asylum. Now? Maybe 20 years if we are lucky.

I say that because the coup by the GQP continues in every state, yes, even the Blue States. They totally believe that they will win the midterms and take both the House and Senate and they totally believe they will win in 2024.

There has not been a political party in the U.S. for many years that I would consider to have integrity. The cartoon simply implies that the republicans (at this time) are worse than the democrats which I feel is correct.

The republigoons have not had any integrity since Ike.

Republicans claim that government is inefficient and ineffective. Then they get elected and prove it.

It died with Nixon.

Politics and good morals is becoming a oxymoron or perhaps a paradox.
