Sorry, but legitimate non-profits have to report their finances to the IRS (religious groups are exempted).
Religions get to build monuments to themselves, including gilded temples, with no government oversight. Even though these self-gratifying expenditures have nothing to do with any charitable activity, they are allowed to act as if they are.
Only expenses that go directly to charitable activities should be tax exempt, just like any other for-profit company.
Free exercise of religion has nothing to do with paying taxes, unless “free exercise” means “get rich off the backs of the sheep.”
There is nothing in the Constitution that grants tax-free status to religions. It’s just a remnant of a time when almost all people were under the illusion that religion had some redeeming value (pun intended).
Heh-heh… try again.
Exactly where are elective abortions being paid for with public money?
And in the next breath, Ted will be railing at Biden for proposing a reasonable partial restoration of the corporate tax rate.
Social Security, Medicare (consistently rated the best health insurance), Interstate Highway System, Veteran’s Administration health system (consistently rated the best medical provider by its clients), public university system and financial aid system, public roads, local police departments, local fire departments, local sanitation departments, local sewer systems and drinking water treatment plants (btw, my local water was excellent until a for-profit company was allowed to take over the system), etc…
Yup, socialism can be great, but we need to work to make it even better.
Never mind that President Biden has told migrants to not come here, keep on spewing your ignorant lies, Allie.
Republiqanons are deeply committed to do nothing to reduce gun violence.
It’s the Republiqanons who are trying to sell the American people a bill of goods.
