Punning on muppets. Muppet punning. If you are not familiar with the proceedings of the Muppet Show as a huge prime time TV hit in the 1970-80’s, then I weep for you. Look for bits of it on the web in the usual places. But nothing beats a full episode of the show, as it aired when released. The ways they would incorporate their A-List guest stars into muppet life and culture through skits as well as musical numbers, was part of their brilliance.

If you don’t know, the characters satirized above are Miss Piggy, the Count, and Fozzie Bear. The Count was not featured on the Muppet Show. He is a prominent character in the children’s TV show Sesame Street.

I find it difficult to believe that Miss Piggy would cheat on Kermit.
