It seems like money was not Mysta’s main motivation. It sounds to me like she mainly didn’t want to be bored. Unless she has a poor memory, she probably already knows that the “famous cartoonist” is a womanizer.
I’m guessing that the shelf in the background of the first frame contains “graphic novels.”
If I met a real space person that looked like 2nd panel Mars Maid, I would be concerned about my possible status as somebody’s next meal. She looks a bit spooky.

Speaking of colors, has anyone else noticed how pale everyone is? Compare them to how they looked earlier this year and you’ll see what I mean. Is it possible that it’s a different colorist now?
I’ve been to a few book signings. The most memorable was the one Harlan Ellison staged at Pink’s Hot Dogs in Hollywood. He’d mentioned Pink’s in one of his short stories and this one was in his latest collection. It was wonderful. Harlan was charming, happy and having a swell time. He sold both hardcover and softcover editions. If you bought a hardcover, you got two free hot dog baskets; if you bought a softcover, you got one basket. Such a deal!
Harlan’s friend Walter Koenig (Chekov on Star Trek) showed up as he often did.
I bought a softcover book and I was one of the last ones in line. While I was eating, Harlan passed by me in the dining room. I said, “Hey, thanks for the free meal.” He grinned and patted me on the right shoulder.
That was the last time I saw him. I know he had a reputation for being angry most of the time, but I made him laugh several times. All he really wanted was some appreciation and gratitude for what he did, as a writer and as a human being. God, I miss him.
Vera is a womanizer in his own mind… Hmmm… Remembering old high school friend. Asked out every girl he ever met. He did get some dates, but he got turned down 99.8% of the time. He lived for the .2% who said ‘yes’.

A remark about the previous story arc: Note the change in complexion of Rikki Mortis between May 22nd when she was disguised, and June 6th when she wasn’t. And from where did she obtain her “trademark” hat? (All cartoonist’s convenience.)
Great story line, I mean Alldid’s Sawdust and Invisible Tribe were more interesting. I see in other comments, our “authors” did graphic novels. That explains a lot, but they should be reminded, this ain’t The Walking Dead, or Road to Perdition.
Off Topic about “that other site”: I did not realize that referring to a comic strip character as a thief or a tr@mp (<edited because I don’t want to get banned from here) was that offensive as to warrant the removal of my post there. I realize our world has change immensely during my 54 years of life, but I’ve seen hundreds of more offensive comments made there, even today and they remain. The double standard is blatant and ridiculous. I’ve heard worse on children’s’ cartoons on Boomerang. I really don’t want to gaslight anyone here, but I would welcome comments as to whether anyone here would consider (what I consider to be) my mild name calling as offensive. Even if you think it was offensive, I welcome the feedback. I just ask that you tell me kindly as I sometimes have a thin skin :). I don’t know if this is a learning opportunity for me or not, but if it is I will gladly think twice before I post such comments in the future. Thank you fellow Tracy fans.

Ah—my question answered. The first thing we saw of “Mars Maid,” it looked to me as if her head had been split from the top, which led me to think that she didn’t look at all like Mysta. Today, I can see that Mysta’s (presumed) wig, with its super widow’s peak that comes down to the level of her eyebrows, shows that it’s “Mars Maid”‘s hair that makes her look that way. Shades of Jessica Rabbit—"My head isn’t split, I’m just drawn that way."
