The hypocritical irony is that those who shout “Blue lives matter” and “law and order” the loudest and wave the blue line flag (“blue lives matter” flag) with the most enthusiasm, are the ones who were violently attacking uniformed police most brutally, stabbing them with those very flags (along with Trump banners, KKKonfederate flags and Nazi swastika flags), gouging out their eyes, beating them with fire extinguishers and other heavy equipment, crushing them in doorways, ripping off their gas masks, shields and weapons, and spraying them with toxic bear spray and other noxious chemicals.
In any case, we need to consider that, in reality, there is no such thing as “blue lives.”
There are no “blue people.”
Those with skin of a color other than European white have nonwhite skin 24/7/365 for as many years as they are alive. Out of 168 hours in a week, “blue lives” are only “blue” less than 1/4 of that time, and only during their working years and, if they can’t stand the heat of a career THEY CHOSE (unlike those who had no say in the color of their skin), they have the option of changing it.
…unless “Blue lives” means the U.S. Postal workers also under assault from conservatives who want to privatize their public service.

Very poorly, but it was, once all the excuses have been thrown out, an attempted coup by the then current president who decided he should be the god king so attempted, first by over 60 court challenges, then by directly calling Republican election officials and telling them to lie about the number of votes he got, repeating the big lie over and over to his devotees, convincing them that his unsane world view was right, actual reality was wrong.
He actions thruout have been the actions of a person who a great many Psychiatrists believe has Fronto Temporal Dementia-FTD. Whether you believe that Trump has dementia or not, one thing has become obvious, Trump is destroying the GOP, with of course great help from his sycophants in and out of congress
I’m almost ashamed to say this, but perhaps the Capitol Police did too good a job in performing their primary duty: protecting members of Congress. If a few actual Congresscritters had been personally beaten up the way those cops were — and especially if the mob of insurrectionists had been able to find and hang Mike Pence — we wouldn’t be getting treated today to all this bullshit about the mobsters simply being innocent tourists. And if those yahoos ever come back to finish the job they left unfinished, I kinda hope that the Capitol Police prioritize protecting the legislators who did have their backs when Accountability Time rolled around.
