Makes perfect sense. In the ‘50s there was a conspiracy to hide irony from people. People didn’t get disillusioned till later. When I was about 18 I remember running into a guy I hadn’t seen in a year or so. Asked him how he was. He said, “Alienation is up this year.” Quintessential ’60s experience.
“Planet-downsize” translates to “no children”. (My son the field biologist and his biologist girlfriend of 13 years are of that opinion.) … Now would be a good time to burst that bubble, Mike. Well, at least SHE need not procreate, and if JJ and her loser lover have no more, then only Mike will have reproduced a genius. (Who goes on to have twins.)
