It’s all a distraction! It started with the Tea Party ultra patriotism rallies and now Q-anon has proven that the bigger and more absurd the lie, the crazier, the panic and fear will ensue, and the more gullible their base will become!

Tucker Carlson as an insect knows well another insect…the cicada. He certainly does not know productive politics or what democracy is.

In 2003, just for a moment, Tucker Carlson seemed almost human.

He had said, over and over (on CNN’s Crossfire) that Hillary Clinton’s book Living History would be a flop. He said repeatedly that he’d eat his shoe if it sold a million copies. Of course it sold that many in under a month.

Paul Begala reminded him, on the air, of his vow. Before Carlson could sputter out a response, Hillary Clinton did a surprise walk-on… with a cake, amazingly detailed as a shoe.

Laughs and smiles all around. He actually seemed flattered at her classy gesture, shook her hand, said thank you, and got a “You’re welcome!”

She pointed out that it was a wingtip shoe… a right wingtip to be precise.

If I recall correctly, she even cut and plated three slices for Tucker, Paul, and herself.

With a name like “Tucker”, you gotta be good.

Career sleazebag Rupert Murdoch has had more than a few of his trashbloids shut down for criminal behavior. It’s true that he himself was never convicted (nor even indicted), but it is also true that the fish rots from the head down. And Murdoch has one of the most rotten heads on the face of the Earth. Carlson started his tirade with statements clearly tuned to his favorite themes: right-wing victimhood and turning back the clock to the pre-Civil Rights era.

“They’re the aggressors,” said Carlson. “It’s our job to brush them back and restore the society we were born in. So the next time you see somebody in a mask, on the sidewalk on on a bike path, do not hesitate. Ask politely but firmly, ‘Would you please take off your mask? Science shows there is no reason for you to be wearing it. Your mask is making me uncomfortable.’ We should do that, and we should keep doing it … It’s repulsive. “

“Your response to seeing children wearing masks when they play should be no different from seeing someone beat a kid in Walmart,” said Carlson. “Call the police immediately. Contact child protective services. Keep calling until someone arrives. What you’re looking at is abuse, it’s child abuse, and you’re morally obligated to attempt to prevent it.”

Tucker Carlson had a very specific definition in mind when he called Chauvin’s conviction ‘an attack on civilization’

His latest lesson involves the paranoid fiction that nonwhite people are coming to America to “replace” the majority white population, and that by implication the existence of the “white race” is imperiled both in the United States and around the world.

In his white supremacy tutelage, Carlson also routinely rages at the enemies of the MAGAverse and “real America,” especially Black and brown people (and their white allies) in the pro-human rights and democracy movement known as Black Lives Matter. Their crime, for Carlson and his viewers? Demanding that the human and civil rights of Black people, and others marginalized in American society, be respected and protected.

Carlson is highly effective: White supremacists have repeatedly praised him for helping to mainstream their vile ideology among the millions of people who watch Fox News. In fact, the “Daily Show” has created a video montage of Tucker Carlson channeling the same language and ideas as white supremacist mass shooters.

Carlson also condones if not outright encourages fascism and other attacks on America’s multiracial democracy. His staff of writers has included at least one overt white supremacist.

Tucker Carson was widely condemned on social media and described as “dangerous” for going on an anti-mask rant during his prime time show on national TV as the coronavirus continues to ravage countries.

The Tucker Carlson Tonight host dived right into the show by calling people, who voluntarily wear masks, as “zealots and neurotics” and compared children wearing masks to “child abuse.”

He asked people to openly confront those wearing masks in public and suggested they “call police” if someone sees a child wearing mask.

“As for forcing children to wear masks outside, that should be illegal,” the Fox News host said. “Your response when you see children wearing masks as they play should be no different from your response to seeing someone beat a kid in Walmart.
