Why do Georgians keep voting for the jerks who wrote, passed and signed that bill? Voter suppression allowing only those who are approved by those jerks to vote. And this bill goes even further along that road. Just plain SHAMEFUL!

So, what happens when you pass a bunch of voter suppression laws? Your baseball team gets swept opening weekend.

I pretty much lost interest in professional baseball after the last Players’ Strike (yes, I am that old). So the location of the All-Star game is pretty much a matter of indifference to me. But I also remember Jackie Robinson’s treatment when he broke the color line in Major League Baseball and other athletes of color in all sports doing the same at both the professional and college levels. Professional sports does not have a sterling record in the matter of civil rights, so I see this as a bit of atonement payback.

MLB is going to celebrate the late Hank Aaron at this years ASG. The Georgia State QOP chose to move it’s state backwards in time. Now another State will get host the game and the celebration. Good for MLB.

Whoopee. MLB is cancelling one game. What about the other 81 games played in a season?

MLB is removing from Atlanta (Georgia !) the preeminent contest of the season and its associated pageantry and side-show events. This will be a bitter pill for businesses in GA, already damaged by C-19, and local fans – all of whom bear responsibility for Kemp and the Republican-dominated State Government who thought voter disenfranchisement would be “the way to go” to maintain their political power. https://www.cnn.com/2021/04/03/us/mlb-all-star-game-relocation-lost-money-economic-impact/index.htmlThese are the folks y’all PICKED to represent Georgia and they are doing it – MAKE BETTER CHOICES (IF they will ALLOW IT) !!!

Wow, when did an exhibition game that they used to play twice a year (you can look it up) become the “preeminent contest of the season”? As for Cerabooge, whom I normally agree with, that would be only the 81 HOME games in a (normal, non-pandemic) season. Even people who don’t own baseball teams (or season tickets) benefit indirectly from economic activity generated by their team. The better point is, where did the Atlanta Braves (a business, not a sport) originate? That would be Boston. (With a side-order of Milwaukee………..) Where did factories currently located in third-world countries come from? That would be from the United States, and the movers (and shakers) obviously value profits over country. End of rant.

I really really doubt if the dishonest imbecile poster TerryPretaGardens is the dishonest imbecile Montana Swill. There appears to be a different “flavor” if you will, although I suppose one heaping pile of **** isn’t really, in the final analysis, much different from his fellow piles………..
