Clearly not a sports fan. The Lakers, Dodgers, Chiefs, and Tampa Bay Lightning won championships.

I get it – “If you don’t have anything good/nice (positive) to say, don’t say anything at all.”

His statement belies him. On the surface, his claim is that of an optimist. However, a true optimist would be able to see or find the positive(s) in (almost) any situation.

Then again, he could have a memory problem.

The positives are plentiful. They are shown in the acts of people who instinctively try to improve or brighten the lives of sufferers. The pity is, it took a pandemic to bring that intrinsic human trait back to the surface. Hope it does not fade into disuse when the current crises has passed . . . as much as it is going to.
