If that “loan” was from “god” it proves that atheism is the only moral choice.

I dislike “pearly gates” cartoons, anyway. But this one with Rush Limbaugh turns my stomach. Whatever talent he had was misused in the service of bigotry and lies. It would be appropriate to show him at the red-hot gates of Dis, standing naked before a grinning Beelzebub!

Varvel is nothing if not predictable. OK then, Varvel is nothing.

I think these are all in reference to the New Testament teaching where the master loans talents (money) to three servants. Two do good works and increase theirs and are rewarded.The third buries his and only returns the original talent and is punished.Some commentators say the ‘’talent’ is also natural talent or ability. But Limbaugh only returned the one talent, not increasing it by doing good works.This parable is found in Matthew and Luke, Christian New Testament.

What talent did god give rush? Lying, good at that. Being a racist, good at that. Cheating on his wives, good at that. Drug addiction, good at that. Mocking people with diseases, good at that. Mocking the looks of children, good at that.

i used to listen to rush here in japan on armed forces radio in the old days, just for a laugh, because i thought nobody could be such a bigoted moron for real, and i’d wonder why a branch of the military was giving a forum to this rightwing nutjob…

Rush led the charge down the rabbit hole for too many of today’s alt-righteous. He primed the pump for years with his distortions and hate. Many of his disciples still don’t realize the damage he did to them, for his own profit.

An example: we had a good electronics bench tech who was highly productive… until lunchtime, when he would listen to Rush’s broadcast. It would agitate him, and he felt the need to lecture everybody else about whatever Rush’s issue of the day was. He interrupted everybody else’s work, while not doing any work of his own. Managers warned him to cut it out, but that only infuriated him. He lashed out, and got fired. He decided to open his own one-man shop, and I tried to use it, but found that he would rather debate than fix stuff. Last I heard he was trying to support himself by selling stuff on ebay…

He’ll never get out of purgatory. He was a vicious, lying, hateful human being who lived too long.

When a person’s agenda is to purposely divide a Nation and denigrate a segment of that Nation solely to enrich themselves, then they are not a patriot nor will they be missed except by those they fooled. That was Limbaugh.
