Not surprising it took that long to reach ant. If you are a fan of Blackadder (British Comedy) It took a very long time to write a dictionary, https://binged.it/3rHdra2

The editors were in college at the time. One of them had bought 5 kilos of pot. They also had eaten 1,673 pizzas and 2.5 tons of Oreos.

Considering the automobile was patented in 1886, Roosevelt appearing in one in 1902 is about what many people looking back on it would expect.

Dare I ask how big that first dictionary was or how many people it took to carry one?

when did this Polish tradition start? Never heard of them in my Mass Polish community in the last century but over the past 24 years they became a thing in NY. Happy 2021 to all.

Teddy earned the nickname ‘roughrider’ while in the back seat with Mrs. Roosevelt.

Paczki Day is celebrated on ‘Fat Tuesday’ in Chicago, which has a larger population of Polish people than Warsaw Poland.

The editors of the First Oxford English Dictionary had a government grant.

Paczki Day? The answer to “How do you get jelly in your coffee?” is “you have to Sink The Bismarck”.

The fact of Teddy being the first in an automobile is not so unbelievable. Nixon was the first to talk to astronauts on the moon, some other prez was the first to speak on live television, another was the first to Tweet; Ok, maybe I’ll stop here…..

In some places they celebrate Mardi Gras being half naked in parades, drinking and overall partying. In Michigan they eat pastries. Wow! Those people in Michigan really know how to live large.
