    It’s far from over!

Not only can Trump do a lot of damage (and Mitch block damage repair) from now into January, but there are large segments of our population who will fight against (not just “resist”) any efforts by Biden to stop the pandemic… and then blame him for any failures.

Can you imagine the reaction if our federal government tried to impose restrictions like Denmark now has in place in response to their recent surge in new infections? Curfews on pubs, etc. and legal limits — with penalties — on the size of gatherings. (This is separate from the issue of the mink farms.)

A news story in Denmark this morning is illustrative. There are current — temporary, but well publicized — regulations forbidding pubs, discos, etc. to be open past 10 pm, and additionally forbidding the sale of alcohol past that time. There are also limits on the size of gatherings.

After 11 pm last night, police in Copenhagen raided a discotheque that was in violation of all those regulations. 73 individuals are now subject to a fine of 2500 kroner (about $400) each for violating the limit on gathering size. The owner of the disco is subject to a minimum fine of 15 thousand kroner (about $2400).

In Denmark there is no significant resistance to these restrictions, nor to the requirement for wearing masks on all public transportation and in all stores (once again, a 2500-kroner fine for refusing to do so). Most people believe they’re necessary. But can you imagine the difficulty of imposing such restrictions — or any mandatory restrictions — in the US?

So much can happen between now and January 20. His vindictive toddler ego will not let this go quietly into the history books.

I wish this could be enough, but even after the inauguration he will still have a strong and toxic influence over his adoring base and what used to be the Republican Party.

If.. only he would have made it great in the first 4 years he would not have had to promise to try again. Took him the best part of 3 years to whittle the Obama America down to the mess its in now. But.. on the bright side, another notch on the bed post in the “fail again” category. Biggly numbers rule!

It’s not over yet. A Republican task force is assigned to do the re-count in GA, and he hopes to get the PA voting into court >> Supreme Court. Recently, Barr has turned loose the FEDS on election fraud. And then, the Electors have to cast their bribes (oops, I mean votes). With Trump, it’s never over. And after it’s over, it still won’t be over.
