While he certainly fueled the fire, this division was starting to take place long before he became president.
I would like to remain optimistic that things will get better eventually. However, the pessimistic side of me fears that, before things get better, they’re going to get worse for awhile.
I would love to find the person who had the “brilliant” idea of labeling nasty women as “Karen.” Every time I see that name used this way, I cringe because my niece is named Karen, and she’s nothing like these women. Wouldn’t the “B word” have worked just as well?
LOL! I’m sure Brutus could have come up with quite a few examples of how he and Gladys are compatible, but that answer was perfect! Before my husband and I were married, my future mother-in-law said that we should be glad we found one another, because no one else would be able to put up with us. She said it with a smile on her face, and I thought it was funny because it was true!

We’re far from perfect, but we’re a whole lot better off than lots of other countries. I definitely wouldn’t want to be living in Ukraine right now. So, I’m still going to wish everybody a Happy Fourth of July, and remember why we celebrate this day.
You can count on it being much, much worse.
