Uh my brother lives with me

Hey! Where have you been Doc Boy?

I don’t have a brother, but I have a sister, does that work?

I can’t my brother died from the flu earlier this year

My brother died before I was born. But I had dinner with my sister 6 hours ago.

I have an older brother, but his family is clear across the North American continent. I — along with our father, stepmother, and step-grandmother — will FaceTime them later.

I can’t call my brother! We are not allowed to use that many cuss words in on sentence… let alone how many we would use in the few minutes the phone would survive before melting! ;)

It doesn’t matter how much we fight with our brothers and families, you know that they will always be there for you.

The closest I have to that is my brother-from-a-different-mother (father too) who lives in California. We’ve been writing back and forth since 1981.

I am an only child.

One of us will pick up the phone to make our annual 5 minute phone call. It;s not that we don’t get along because we do but the age difference, life experience difference and the lack of common interests make it difficult to find anything to talk about. He’s married, grown children, retired with a good pension fishes regularly and pre covid travelled a fair bit, I’m widowed, no children, working full time in what has become a precarious job due to the effects covid has had on business, with nothing but the government pension plan to look forward to, haven’t travelled anywhere I couldn’t walk to or get to by city bus in over 20 years. And I feel that fishing is animal abuse.

I wish I had. Just found out yesterday that may brother was put in ICU with Covid 19. He has already been battling other lung issues. Garfield kind of hit home with me today.
