The best kind of “chess” is when it’s followed by “pie”.

PS: I remember when my sister decided it was a stupid game because who would call a game “chest”?

You can’t do that unless the prez allows it.

Go ahead, Chip. I momentarily forgot who’s in office.

I am close to doing some research on a type of chess that has many more pieces and places on the board. It has elephants, camels, and all sort of other things. Problem is… I can’t remember it’s name without going into my files… in a completely different location. (Bugger!)

Arguing with right-wingers in 2020 is like playing a game of chess with a chicken. You might have the rule book and know all of the strategies, but at some point, the chicken will knock all of the pieces on the floor, crap all over the board and start yelling, “I won! I won!”

Sorry Wiley, I don’t know where else to take out my frustration

For every 1000 cases of covid 200 need hospital care

10 of those 200 will die

180 will have permanent heart damage

100 will have permanent lung damage

    30 will suffer a stroke

20 will have neurological damage that leads to chronic weakness and loss of coordination.

20 will have neurological damage that leads to loss of cognitive function

All of those will be considered a pre existing condition

With a population of 328,200,000 there will be

    3,282,000 deaths

    62,358,000 hospitalizations

    59,076,000 with permanent heart damage

    32,820,000 with permanent lung damage

    9,846,000 with a stroke

    6,564,000 with muscle wekness

    6,564,000 with reduced cognitive function

We’re a long way from done

Atlantic Shores… about 2 miles from the Navy’s “Master Jet Base”, a community for those over 60, with homes ranging from independent bungalows and condominiums, to assisted living apartments. Situated less than half a mile from another Naval training facility at the beach on the beautiful Atlantic Ocean… How many senior officers and their spouses reside there? (They underwrite the local PBS station with very enticing images, as does a counterpart situated across the James River near the local Air Force Base… The Chesapeake.) This area is full of military!

Use to play Atomic Chess. When on the verge of losing slap the board sending pieces all over….Nuke Attack. I grew up with the daily threat of annihilation……We had a saying in the Army we copied it….What? Me worry? It’s called MAD.

I just read an article about how artificial intelligence (AI) is changing chess. To keep it interesting for human players, they have had to come up with rule variations, such as no-castling. I didn’t see anything about a nuclear option, though.
