Only one serious problem here. In panel two there is really only one option, not two. He can not cancel the election, only Congress can do that and the Democrats hold a majority in the House, good luck getting them on board with that idea.

He might send federal goons to “protect” polling places from people who look too liberal or don’t look like “his voters”… mail-in votes can get around that, so he’ll send in more goons to “supervise the vote count” and “ensure the count is right”…

Cancelling the election – if possible – would do no good for Trump.

His time in office as president is firmly established by the Constitution at four years. On January 20, 2021 his four years are up and he is automatically out of office unless re-inaugurated. No re-election, no re-inauguration.

I don’t see Biden letting Rump off the hook. He has no way to avoid the New York investigations and the ramifications that go with it.

There are 3 ways Trump can avoid the threat of prison not just 2. The third one happens to everyone eventually.
