One time I hiked 2,169 miles.

Take care and may God bless.

I’ve heard scary stories of people who walked the Appalachian Trail, and didn’t survive…..

I live in Buena Vista, Virginia near the trail. If you’re going to walk it, you better enjoy looking down about 3 feet ahead of you for hours at a time.

Sometimes when you walk into the local grocery store, you can smell trail hikers shopping; many have not had the opportunity to bathe for weeks.

Ugh – I’m so old I remember when Mountain Dew was first sold/advertised by PepsiCo.

Cats most certainly CAN taste sweetness!!!! We had one that absolutely craved sweets – tapioca pudding, ice cream, sticky buns, butter cookies…..just plain powdered sugar….

RBIN needs to edit. “Grandma Gatewood” might have been the first woman to walk the Appalachian Trail for recreation, but there were hundreds of settler / pioneer families men, women and children who traversed the trail heading west.

I’m going to go to a bar and order a Mountain Dew & whiskey. Can’t be worse than a vodka & Yoo-Hoo.

We should petition PepsiCo to revert to the original Mountain Dew formula, like Coke did.

I would suggest a decent back pack, instead of a canvas bag.

If cats can’t taste sweetness, why does mine keep going after my chocolate? (And no, I don’t let her get it.)
