Love all the color after so much greyscale. And young Hickory and Olwin are so cute!

Wow! Mind completely blown by the art and the backstory.

1) Great explanation of how the familiar bond is created.

2) I only knew “hootenanny” as the name of the 60’s TV show. More info here, complete with Pete Seeger reference which is never a bad thing:

In the Alex Verus series-they have magical blink foxes wonder if Foxy is one of them. There are talking foxes in the Rivers of London series…we may have a magical fox here or a Kitsune as suggested.

My mom used “hootenanny” as a synonym for “whatchamacallit.” When I was a teenager it also became a folk music jam.

Fox looks already familiar ;). Who is the girl with him? (I looked up the “cast” but still don’t know… I get lost in that family…. )

I like the slow introduction of color into the comic. Does this mean it will be full color eventually, I wonder?

Not trying to nitpick, but I am wondering about the usage of “new moon” when that’s clearly a full moon. =D; Is that intentional?
