I would like to see a much smaller armed services presence in the US. Along with a much smaller budget. Won’t happen though… certainly not until we have a different administration, and by preference a different Senate Majority Leader.
I know trump is the Commander-in Chief, but I wonder how much the Pentagon will tolerate? What will they do if trump pushes this country into a serious, major conflict which they KNOW trump is starting for the wrong reasons?
Look no further than Harry Truman’s order to racially integrate the military, or Bill Clinton’s “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy, or Barack Obama’s opening up of all combat positions to women. The military establishment wasn’t at all fond of those ideas, but they loyally saluted, said “Yes sir”, and got the job done. That’s their job, and they’re dedicated to doing it right. Bless their hearts.
There’s one topic that hasn’t been discussed today: the fact that Trump is sending U.S. troops to Saudi Arabia to be mercenaries. Trump claims that the Saudis are paying for the troops.
I’d laugh, but this cartoon reflects an all too horrifying possibility of becoming true. The Republican horde along with the Russians are threatening to storm the CONSTITUTION and burn the Supreme Court Building. Ah the perks of becoming an authoritarian country under the patronage of Russia.
When Trump declares himself president for life and the civil war comes, half the armed forces will obey the Commander in Chief and the other half will obey the Constitution.
And they’ll have at each other. And there will be nothing left of America but smoking ruins.
How long do you a-holes want this killing/disfiguring of young men to go on? You obviously didn’t experience the Viet Nam War and must not know anyone with missing parts from the Iraq/Afganistan wars. Go to the front yourself if you believe in it so much

Trump feels threatened by anyone who might get in his way (of World domination and other dreams).
Besides, why would he need United /states military forces when he can call on Russian ones?

Never happen. Trump knows he will need the troops in America when he declares martial law before the 2020 election.

And not just from America — from Earth. He just saw “War of the Worlds.” The Martians will be defeated in thirty days, tops!
Wouldn’t a Trump Tower look grand on Mars?
