Burt propped up in his cat bed with his octopus toy is absolutely adorable!!!

Totally cozy!! But what’s the purple octopus? I haven’t seen that before (or I missed it).

OT: Nushi update – It’s a long one, so I’m being polite this time and putting it below!

Nice to know Burt gets a chance to relax with his favorte tunes, a book, and a warm cup of something! He looks so comfy in his snuggie and booties!

Guys, Burt likes you…but not that much. He’s a sensible, practical A/V barn cat who knows the value of a good book, some good tea, a purple octopus buddy, and not being soaking wet in the rain.

Also: please tell me the octopus has a name, and that we’ll get to find out what. Otherwise we’ll all just have to guess…

Warm bed, warm blanket, candle lit lamp, radio, drink and favourite toy. Bert is settled to ride out the storm. Even in July, (thunder)storms happen.

Burt is just adorable in his cozies. I thought the octopus was a massage thingy. I love Lupin’s face as he tries to make sense of what he saw. Georgia, you’ve got to get that ginger inside quickly, we can’t wait to meet her!

OT – I come asking for prayers (or whatever) for healing. i mentioned 3 weeks ago that my eye dr diagnosed macular degeneration in both eyes. well, at my follow up yesterday he said my left eye was worse, the macula had some swelling, so he’s sending me to a retina specialist. so naturally I spiraled down even further into the black hopeless hole of depression I’ve been living in the last several weeks. I’ve been feeling……..well………i’ve been feeling doomed lately. i’m in a “i’m so tired of my life, I need to change, but why try, I’m just going to fail again” phase. I’m not suicidal, (I’m a coward & I can’t hurt the few people who really do love me) but I do constantly wish Jesus would just come get me and take me home with him. I saw my primary dr yesterday too and she is changing my depression meds,so i hope they start to work quickly. I’m tired of my arthritic knees, the pain in my back, my foggy brain, and now my eyesight may be in jeopardy. sorry this is so long. thanks for listening. this comic and community are the only things that make me smile and laugh every day. we are so blessed to have each other to lean on in times of crisis. try to stay cool this weekend. i love ya all!

Both Elvis and Puck have special friends and now we know Burt has one – it just struck me that does Lupin have a special friend? Maybe one I missed?

Burt makes we want to climb back into bed! And I am not surprised that a handy cat, like Burt, would like a many armed octopus as a toy!

Tomorrow starts my weekend, I can’t wait to get home tonight and get into my cozies!!

Poor Lupin is so worried about that possible strange cat he saw! It’s OK, Lupin, you aren’t having optical delusions.

My BIL is having a big BBQ today for friends and family. I’m making devilled eggs. Eggs are boiled and cooling. I’ll have to get to it in a bit. It’s going to be a sticky, stinky, hot day. With the humidity factored in, temperature will be close to 100F. I think Paul and I will be capturing a couple of seats inside and hiding in the a/c.

I’m surprised the toe bean fans aren’t fussing about the slippers.

Hi all, I’m a longtime lurker, but could I ask for some good vibes for my cat Jake? He’s been very sick lately, and has been diagnosed with pancreatitis, but had an episode Thursday night that might have been a seizure. It’s just been him and me for the last 8 years so I’m terribly worried…

Wouldn’t it be great if they made human sized plaid beds like Tommy’s?
