Time flies, doesn’t it, Elizabeth?

How did Michael get off the boat when it was just starting out yesterday?

How did John fit that ‘snout’ in that mask?

Who are these people and what did they do with the Pattersons? They have smiles on their faces. Every member of the family helps carry something out to the beach. Michael and Elizabeth play together without trying to kill each other. John offers food to Elly. No one is making a giant mess. No one is screaming at someone. No wonder Elizabeth doesn’t want to leave. This is paradise.

As the frog said, " Time is fun when you’re having flies."

Time flies when you’re having fun.

To be remembered years later as one of the best days of their lives. Unless they begin to see the value of respecting and treating each other with dignity, today’s families won’t have that bond. I believe it causes the anger so many people experience.

Good times never last long enough.

Lynn’s Comments:

When I had done this cartoon and was looking at it in the paper, I realized I had missed the most important part of the joke. The sun should have been much more noticeable, and the last panel should have been a much more colourful sunset.

Wow. A completely abandoned beach. How did they manage that? Private property?

Set up some tents and camp overnight.

Poor Elizabeth. The days of youth are fleeting.

That’s what happens when you’re having such a good time.

Ironically, the better the day is the faster it disappears.

How did they find an empty beach?!

Now you have sunburn, a flesh eating disease and sand in spots you didn’t know you had. But, hey, you missed sharknado!

Elizabeth is merely repeating the plaintive cry of every kid who’s ever been to the beach.

Time goes by either too quick or too slow when you’re a kid. Too slow when you’re waiting for your birthday or Christmas to come around, and too quickly when on your school holidays.

Where are all the other people? You can’t find a beach that empty hardly anywhere these days!

Elizabeth has her infamous swimsuit with the ever-changing colors. It is fuschia in the fourth panel and black in the fifth. Just so long as Elizabeth does not end up with an invisible swimsuit! :)

My 4 kids were just like that. Whether it was going swimming in Lake Michigan or one of the many other lakes in the area or to the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, they never wanted to leave until it was dark

It looks like the same beach where Elizabeth lost her glasses.

It’s now time for a beach campfire and a weenie roast.

How come Elizabeth has glasses in the 1st panel and then not again?!

Panel 3 looks exactly the same as the one where Elly stood with Liz who pointed to where she left her glasses. So that’s the same lake where the campers swam.

But … but … but … where’s Farley??
