The cartoonist has a lot of experience to draw on.
The voice of truth.
You left out the “know how to draw” step. Although, I am certain, if I work hard and practice for several hours a day, I can get up to XKCD quality in a couple of years.
Well now I can cancel my “Learn how to be a cartoonist” course!
I can be funny at times, but there is no way I could produce funny on a schedule. My muses don’t work 9 to 5 – they’re non-union.
So this was the last one…?
It’s always interesting to see a job process from start to finish. And in this case, interesting and funny!
Left out editors input, that ruins every thing.
And when it falls into the ‘deadline’ category, one can always rely on a commenter or two to see a political message somewhere.

Is he trying to make more room for himself on the comics pages? He’s only in our paper because Wiley swore at the Child-Molester-In-Chief!
