Someone should show Allen some shade.

First Scooter tries to clobber a squirrel and now Allen is in a funk. What got into the water at Ballard Street?

If that was a sunshine bulb, Allen would be on his way.

If Allen is suffering from Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) light therapy is the right way to go. But that little yellow bulb may not be sufficient.

Allen has always been able to dim a bulb….

He’ll just get a headache staring into the light.

At least maybe he’ll finally see the light.

Perhaps an arc lamp would be more effective.

Light switches have always been a real turn on for Allen.

Yesterday there was a brief couple of minutes where some sunshine broke through over my place.

I stood (leaning on a counter so i wouldn’t go over backward) with my eyes closed, sunshine on my face (warm sunshine!), for several minutes trying to soak as much in as possible before it went away.

This morning, i got rain. :\

Can’t get the morning dump going, eh Allen? Try the toilet. And with your pants down.

Suddenly the mood lightens when Allen finds the lampshade and puts it on his head.

I almost forgot to say….

I did the same thing Monday when we had an hour or so of blue sky in this rainy week.

except I had to walk out into the street, cos whatever bits of my tiny yard weren’t shady were too wet to step on.

It’s a little street and not busy…. and I stood in the middle, like a lunatic, for about ten minutes, with my face lifted towards the sun.

I feel really fortunate though…

to be in this grey, 50° rain all week, and not -10° ice and snow.

Smile Allen…..Life is like a light bulb. It can be bright. It can dim. It can even flicker. Comes in many colors and shapes. But eventually like life it will burn out. So cherish the light while it glows.
