I sat and watched AOL go through it’s routine while my friend went to the kitchen and made an entire pot of coffee. Coffee was ready and we still hadn’t gotten through.
I didn’t worry about getting hacked when I was on Compuserve! Seems like I remember paying $2.00 for 8 minutes of time per month and that was enough! Wasn’t that about 20 years ago? What we have today is pretty amazing when you think about it.

TEMPLO S.U.D. Oh the good old days of hardly any emails, and what you got was from somebody you knew. Right now there are 400 emails in my box, mostly junk.
Connections were so slow that there was a software that showed jokes and fun facts while the next screen displayed. It was called Zing, I believe – small wonder it’s now defunct and long forgotten, thank God.
