It looks like we haven’t seen the last of the Space Coupe. I’m sure that the former Moon Governor’s mode of transportation will feature again sometime in the next year.
I hope that Tracy fans of all stripes are in the midst of celebrating happy Holy Days with friends and family. I aired my grievances yesterday but I have a cold so I skipped the feats of strength this year!
Some are speculating that this is a particular Space Coupe relevant to our current unresolved story lines, and it might be. But my first thought was that this is just sort of a nod to Chester Gould’s “outside of the story” Christmas cards. He did both, actually. Sometimes he would pause the story, sometimes he would work the Season’s Greetings into the current story line. The first year of the Space Coupe, he had Diet Smith rig up a Santa banner, and they flew it around the whole Earth. But if that’s what this is, who is flying it, now that Diet Smith has supposedly decommissioned the whole magnetic space program?
Blessed Christmas to everyone. I hope many will remember and be inspired by the birth of our Savior, even though it almost certainly didn’t happen in the winter season.
