The good news is, if his straight ball ever stops working it’ll probably become a curve or drop ball

They’ll murderize you…more than usual.

No surprises, as far as CB is concerned.

I don’t know much about baseball. Is there really such a pitch as a “straight ball”?

We know how this ended, the straight ball straight to sweet spot on the bat. And, a blast across the pitcher mound.

Am I the only person who immediately thought “Straight ball, I hit it very much. Curve ball, bats are afraid”?

In 1977, the 25th anniversary or Peanuts inception, there was a compilation called “Sandlot Peanuts” that compiled a large number of the baseball strips.

The ball comes out of the batter’s box a lot “straighter” than it went in…

I keep chuckling over the size of their mitts compared to the size of their bodies.

On the golf course, my straight ball never works.

I’ve always believed CB to be a blonde boy…. something that evolved into “bald”, maybe because when it got colorized, they made his whole head peach color. But in the first panel, what is on the back of his head? Shading?

A recent Peanuts strip in the paper has Marcie saying she hates baseball knocking the manager, Peppermint Patty for a loop! (3/28/21)

What about his fast ball and his slow ball?

If he’s getting any of it over the plate, that’s better than I would do.

Now – if we could just work on two things:speed and location.
