A great reminder of one of the many failings of the first President Bush after the media and political establishment propaganda of his supposed decency and greatness at his death and funeral.

Of course you accept the honor. Any time you are invited to the White House for recognition you should take it, under almost any president.

As we know from looking at a clear night sky in the countryside, a thousand points of light does not dispel the darkness.

I think a medal from the white house would look pretty impressive on a resume, no matter what your political beliefs are!

Call me naive – but honoring individuals and community groups who dedicate themselves to lifting up and improving the lives of others is a good thing. Or have we descended so far into cynicism and partisan division that we can’t acknowledge even that?

Did Bush’s points of light come from Reagan’s shining city on the hill?

Wow- hating something honoring people who step up to help their community instead of waiting back for the government to do it for them.

When President’s Clinton and Obama recognized those who did the same, the same crowd that hated Bush’s recognition cheered him on as if it was the greatest thing ever.

He forgot to ask how much the Point of Light medals cost.
