A battery powered Sawzall and Sharkbites are the right tools for most plumbing jobs.

oh, you’ll be a fine plumber when you become an adult, Calvin… using a hack saw on a faucet handle; that’ll tire your arms

I’m afraid it’s turning to disaster. Don’t ask me why.

It makes no sense that his dad would allow him access to the tools.

What would be a better theme for this story arc? “Five Feet High and Rising” by Johnny Cash or “Waist Deep in the Big Muddy” by Pete Seeger?

My sister-in-law had a surprise. She swung the kitchen faucet and it came off in her hands. Luckily the faucets still worked.

The way you put it makes the job seem a cinch, Calvin, but if you use that hacksaw, good luck getting the faucet back together again.

Enterprising lad that you are, you’ll likely do a fine job. If your goal is an indoor swimming pool. And roaring Godzilla imitations by your mother and your father.

My son, 5 years old at the time, had a faucet handle fail, causing a geyser in the bathroom. He closed the shut-off valve so quickly one had a hard time telling that there had been a major incident.

Nope … this cannot end well for Calvin.

Sure looks like it might be fun for us readers, though.

    Sorry, buddy.
