I’m relieved to see that the hair gun is not plugged in!

Yes, Puck, it is a hair gun. Now use it on yourself so we can see its effect on kitty fur. I bet the result will be quite poofy.

LOL – sopping wet Lupin is so cute.

Luckily, Lupin does not seem to mind much being wet. (See the Running of the Cats episode, specifically 9/28/17 & 9/30/17).

Yup, still amusing. Doesn’t quite have the same impact without the full tail’s worth of hair, but still amusing!

Also doubles as a heat gun for shrink wrapping candles, Puck.

Even when kitties are wet, they don’t smell (at least Whiskers didn’t)! That’s only one of the reasons why I think kitties are the bestest!

Lupin enjoys popping bubbles as much as I do. ;) I wonder what he’d make of bubble wrap?

Wet Lupin looks my Minkus, who loves to sit on the edge of the tub while you shower and demands that he drink water dripping from fingers. He’s a wet mess afterwards.

My darling Buddy loved the shower! He’d sit on the edge and stick his paw in to catch water and as soon as I’d turn it off he’d get in and roll around. Baths were no problem. I’d fill the tub a bit and invite him in ;) But hey, he was a Maine Coon…

Poor Lupin, going from carefree bubble popping to a soaking wet, unhappy mess. I see the hair gun being used in the immediate future.

My cats get really upset when I take a bath. I think that’s because they hate the water so much they figure I’m in distress, so they try to meow loud enough to scare it away. “WE WON’T LET YOU BOIL THE HUMAN!!”

One of our cats finds hair dryers as scary as vacuum cleaners, so when she is making a pest of herself my wife just picks up the hair dryer and Vesta vacates the premises immediately.

Called it. Now, where is that extra towel?

Lupin must have some Turkish Angora in him. Supposedly they have the same affinity for water that their cousins from Lake Van do.

What’s the strap across Lupin’s chest?

Lupin is taking being wet very well.

Umm… not to be picking too many nits here, but just how does one take a *bubble*shower?

Boy, you can really see the difference in height between The Man and The Woman here.

You see, cats are distressed for us—all, or most, of our fur fell out because we are always getting in the water. Why do we do such crazy things when, as Puck said yesterday, we “have a perfectly good tongue”? It’s a mystery to catkind.

This occurred to me while reading the comments to Monday’s strip:

My first exposure to the works of Lian Herne was a review copy left in a train station (Take a book, leave a book). I immediately bought the entire series, and another, related series. Maybe we should start leaving copies of Georgia’s book in train stations.

For those of you whose cats hate the hair gun, try a different brand. Some emit frequencies that hurt cat’s ears. Fans are a much better choice.

The expression in Lupin’s face in the fourth panel makes it obvious that cats don’t like water.

Reboot managed to get a tooth into a plastic bag and ripped off a strip of the silver sticky protector… and ate it. I was trying to catch him so I could get it out of his mouth, but I was too late. We’ll be watching the litter box closely for a couple of days and hope it just goes through. If not, then it’ll be off to the vet. Poor kitty. He tried to cough it up but couldn’t. : (

Hair gun, Puck? Most definitely! In Mexican Spanish, it is sometimes called a “pistola de pelo”: a hair pistol! :)
