The last three words could be about most anything since most people doubt my understanding of a variety of subjects.

When I flew back to the US after camping in Europe, I had forgotten to take the head of cabbage out of my backpack. The airport US customs found it and detained me and searched everything I had to make sure I was not importing any other illegal vegetable matter.

We’re not bothered by those pesky, little Canadian Cabotages, where I live.

For those too lazy to look the definition of cabotage up…

Coastlines were once so important to the French that they came up with a verb to name the act of sailing along a coast: caboter. That verb gave rise to the French noun cabotage, which named trade or transport along a coast. In the 16th century, the French legally limited their lucrative coastal trade, declaring that only French ships could trade in French ports. They called the right to conduct such trading cabotage too. [Now it’s when a transport carries freight in a foreign country. I think.]

    From Wackipedia, the free encyclopedia:

Cabotage is the sixth studio album by Canadian rock band Back Bacon Sandwich, released in July 1975. It was recorded in the midst of bickering with their former manager Frickrick Meham and the stress that resulted from the band’s cartage of personal baggage inspired the album’s title.

I started to read the Coasting Trade Act (S.C. 1992, c.31), dated 23 VI 92, but quickly came to the realization that I don’t read Canadian. So, I did not even get into the airline cabotage question. Besides, I don’t think I would cabotage; at least, not in public….
