And since we already know that Lupin weighs as much as a small horse . . . things could get uncomfortable in the next, oh I don’t know, half second?

And then there was fur and shredded fabric everywhere.

It is a truth universally acknowledged that a person with a cat sleeping on their knees cannot move, and should not attempt to. It is further acknowledged that the person will usually also fall asleep.It only needs She-Who-Has-Decided-To-Hibernate-On-My-Son’s-Bed-Even-Though-Brisbane-Winter-Would-Count-As-A-Coolish-Summer-In-Many-Parts-Of-The-World to get onto my knees and my eyelids start drooping in a few minutes.

Their eyelids were droopin’ , but then came Lupin. But that rhyme probably only works with an Anglicized pronunciation of Lupin. The name, incidentally, is a variation on the word lupine which, like its Latin precursor lupinus, means “wolfish.”

Apparently a cat’s work is never done. I never realized how many responsibilities they had until I started catching these broadcasts.

Looks as though Elvis is coming around although in the third panel he still looks mad or unhappy. Nothing like a sleeping baby to warm the heart of the most cantankerous Siamese.

Between the third and fourth panels, Elvis finally realized he didn’t have to be grumpy. He could relax. After all, nothing was going to fall from above on him…

Lupin, NO!!!!!!

My daughter had her gall bladder out on Tuesday and I told her that she might want to sleep with her door closed to keep kitties from running through her room and jumping on her stomach. She forgot but told me the next morning that Reboot had very carefully climbed on her stomach and curled up on her incisions. He’s a bit on the small side and the pressure actually felt good. Good boy!

My Batchelor’s cat, Horatius Centurius, Guardian of the Empire, would find the highest spot in the room, then jump onto my waterbed to ride the waves…over and over and over…

I love Elvis in this one. Very mistrustful of the baby in the second panel, catloafing with his ears back, but also right by him, and then much more relaxed in the third panel, with his tail curled round him. He’ll come round yet. Probably not when being jumped on by Lupin, mind.

It looks like lupin is about to land on the baby. And then they will all be deaf.
