UGH…what a loser! Homeless (perhaps), and a user. What’s next? Bernice taking a test for him???? What does she SEE in this jerk?

Groan! Bee’s descend into depravity continues, as she tries to set up Piro for Seduction. Problem is, she has no idea at all how to seduce a guy. Problem number two, Piro has no romantic interest in her. Well, maybe they can become study buddies….

Bernice. Just share your notes as a friend, no side eye needed, and maybe you will… find out more about Piro? Get romantically involved with him? Whatever. It’s a study session, not an illicit tryst.

That had better not be a lie, if Bernice knows what’s good for her.

So are we going to find out that it was Piro who took the TV and that he’s been using Tiff like he’s about to use Bern?

He already knows where it is. Bern ready for another sleep-in? (Is this the arc where Gene provides the world with his take on the unintended consequences lecture?)

Hey Star-Head! BEFORE You go into Bern’s “Web,” You MIGHT Wanna YouTube the final scenes from the Original “The Fly,” movie, because YOU, Sir, are about to be SCREAMING, “Hellllllp Meeeeeee, Hellllllp Meeeeeee!! Nooooooooo!”

Know what I mean? Know what I mean? Nudge-nudge, wink-wink, say no more…

And don’t get frisky, Piro, I still have my baseball bat. Okay, maybe a little frisky.

I guess I see this as a refreshing direction to go. Bernice and Piro are directly interacting, rather than passing through an intermediary (Tiff) or being dishonest. Bern is honestly attracted, and should be able to act on this. If Piro gets uncomfortable, he can, and probably will, decline her attentions. I may be totally wrong, but I see a teensy bit of “slut shaming” in some of the comments, that would not appear if Bernice were a man.

If Bernice has ALREADY taken Roth’s class, then where else would those class notes be, eh? Bern is apprehensive because she still thinks Piro is involved with the TV somehow, and complicating that further she is – to use the ancient term – ‘smitten’!

These are college age days, and Bernice has a powerful urge factor when it comes down to men she is attracted to, and she is attracted powerfully to Mr. Mojo man. Contrary to many I am withholding my opinion on what might happen, what his motives might be, what I think her motives might be, although I remind everyone of what Sigmund Freud might say: there is the SuperEgo, which is what Bernice want’s to believe she projects to the world, the Ego, which is what Bernice actually feels about her confused self, and the almighty ID, which is what she really wants to do, and that involves copious amounts of passionate sex. How far will the strip go in this arc, who knows?

I am worried for Piro at the moment. If Bernice gets too “out-of-control” it could scare him off! :) But, I am finding this arc fun and enjoyable. I like getting a few (wish there were more) snippets of information about the elusive Piro.

What an exciting proposition from the Queen of DRAB!

regarding yesterday, some people were blaming Luann for not realizing the dog had to ‘go’. Then they blamed her for preening and taking too long to get ready to take the dog out. First of all, at least she was in a strip. Secondly, She thought the dog wanted to play, she got shoes on, brushed her hair and put on a coat. I doubt she brushed her hair 50 strokes. And incidently, if she was going to go out with the dog, the likely hood is the dog would have done what it needed to do. But some people immediately called her an idiot, a moron, etc. Well she isn’t.Seems to be a recurring attitude to beat up on the younger characters, be suspicious of others, and assume others, like frank ar buffoons in general. Well if they were real people, I hate to clue you in, Frank was able to get Nancy to marry him.He could have done worse, and frankly so could she.

Oh and before I forget. I am well aware this is a daily continuous comic/story and i don’t need every single minuscule detail spelled out for me.

Piro can take his own careful notes and learn the material his own way. There is no need to go to Bernice’s dorm room at all.

If she was smart (Big If) Bernice would continue to talk to Piro right where they are. He is pulling out paper to do schoolwork at her table so they could be there together for a while. I doubt B wants to have sex with P today, but she does want to get to spend time with him. Don’t rush him or scare him away. Just reel him in slowly.

Bernice & Piro are talking and we will probably find out a little more about the mysterious Starman like many readers have been saying they wanted. As for suggestions Bernice is going to try to put the moves on him she didn’t when he slept at her place, don’t know if that is her plan now. I believe she doesn’t have a plan: she likes the guy enough to do crazy stunts like Tiffs room inspection to get his phone number, but is insecure about how to proceed, hopefully she will concentrate on studying with him & see what happens. What a long post! I need a nap…

I would like to know what Piro was going to say about Mr. Roth’s lectures, before Bernice finished his sentence.

The only thing I care about Piro is why he has a star cut into his hair. This mystery man’s story has been dragged out in the dark for too long. I’ve reached the “Who cares” stage.

I try to look for clues in the drawings to predict what Greg might have in mind. Both Piro and Bern have the Steve Jobs look, i.e. black T shirt (and grey jacket). Do these similarities mean they will click on a personal level?

Wonder if Piro feels safe going back to Bernice’s dorm given the theft and all.

And she goes for broke.

Piro is one of the WORST comic strip characters ever. The strip would be vastly improved if the story lines included his dropping out of college. Or being run over by a bus.
