Such a wonderful toy must cost a fortune. The design alone puts it into luxury class.

Elvis needs the Woman to groom him.

In those cases it is a plus with only three legs. Also, love the “roll play”.

My guys aren’t interested in the empty roll – they prefer it covered with paper and on the wall where they can spin it (except mean old Mom puts it on backwards so they can’t). But the ‘good’ Woman is brushing poor Elvis’s hair!

This is the most charming comic strip I’ve ever read.

I used to have a neighbor with a pit bull. Sweetest dog you ever met, but kind of on the dim side. I got to feeling sorry for him one time when it realized that with his short stumpy legs and absolutely no neck between his head and torso, he couldn’t run and jump after frisbees like other dogs, and I wondered if he still carried the gene that would make him want to do so.

    .

I felt better when I saw him one day. He’d found a shopping cart turned over on its side near the dumpsters where people have a tendency to leave them. And he was spinning one of its wheels faster than I would have thought possible.

Ah! Who can resist the magnetism of an empty toilet roll? Ha! I adore Elvis’ follow-up documentary title “When fancy toys attack!” :p Gotta watch out for those empty toilet rolls—they’ll bite back! lol

The best cat toy money can buy, and with an almost endless supply!! Paper towel rolls are even better-cut in half you get two for the price of one!

Found toys are so much more fun than store-bought. The best ones are those that make noise.

My boys prefer twist off plastic bottle caps. Perfect for batting around and hiding from each other. Especially in the middle of the night when it’s most fun to wake “Mom” up with their racket. They will only play with the cardboard rolls if they’re on the holder with lots of tissue left so they can unroll it. Doesn’t matter what direction it’s placed, they got that figured out. Sigh.

I presented Jingle Bell Katt with a new toy the other day—a strip of furry material attached to a cord and wand. She chased and wrestled with it vigorously until I got tired of playing and when I put it down on the coffee table she grabbed it and dragged it away. This morning I found it in the middle of the living room floor again where she dragged it away and “killed” it.

No, the new format just switched over at noon Eastern time and the earlier comments didn’t come over — I was in the middle of viewing when it switched.

Comment from Georgia on her Twitter Feed commenting on the look of her comic on the ‘upgraded’ Goatcomix site:-

Georgia Dunn ‏(pseudooctopus) 39m39 minutes agoI cannot wait until the readers can see these watercolors in a bigger, brighter format!

Sorry Georgia, if the users are on IE, they’re not going to see your expanded Sunday art at all as it seems the ham-fisted web designers don’t like IE.

Interesting, the expand worked fine in IE when I was checking it out in the beta, hopefully it is just a hiccup of the switch over and will be fixed soon. I think I read that there might be some delay in getting all the old comments on the new site too, so hopefully they will show up soon too.

The TP roll is a favorite here, too!And I like the new, bigger format! Miss my Sherpa faves, though, gonna have to go seek them out. Also, I wish it would just skip the ones that don’t update every day instead of showing me the same comic for days. Still, all in all, the new site has potential. And Elvis is finally getting groomed!

Clusters and clusters of fudge on the ‘new’ GoComics today.

They nuked the comments on the “Welcome to the new GoComics!” story because the feedback was so negative (or so I’d presume). The link to the faceless, unseen e-mail account is still there for you.

Meanwhile on the twitters, I notice a series of glowing words coming from GoComics artists, and absolutely ZERO mentions from anyone else in creation using the #GoComics hashtag. Talk about a rollout falling flat.

Me, because of all the new impediments, I’ll be cutting down from about 45 subscriptions to less than 10. Only the ones that update daily since this new site can’t differentiate that and makes me click through every one. And only my absolute favs.

Perhaps I’ll see some of you over at breakingcatnews.com – the alternatives are now more appealing to me than any comics on this ‘improved’ GoComics site.

I hadn’t bothered with the beta site, so this roll-out was completely new to me. I didn’t have any trouble with it at all. My Favorites were easily clicked through.

And for more magic, you can add another toy inside! My cats love it when I put their toy mice or other toy inside.

I both love and hate the new site. Love that comics such as Georgia’s are beautifully HUGE, but hate, hate, hate having to scroll/click through screens designed for tablets/smartphones. Did I mention that signing in was a nightmare – which will only matter if my comments actually post…

Ok, I finally figured out how to see these comments. To me the new site is fine, as I look just at BCN here. By the way, if you haven’t seen it,our beloved Georgia is the featured artist interview. Just try to read her story without your eyes welling up. What a lesson in persevering. So very, very glad you hung in there, Georgia. We all benefit !

The paper originally attached to this marvelous toy can be fashioned into a badminton-like “birdie” by rolling half into a tight ball and tearing the remaining half to make streamers. I launch these over the top of the shower curtain while my cat intercepts them in the bathtub.

My comics queue won’t load. When i try i get this message.

“Inside every server there is an internal error, just waiting for its time to shine. This one’s ours. We vow to cease its infernal shining ASAP.”

It sucks. The only way that i can navigate my queue is to use the list at my profile, or through “Comics A to Z”.

So now I’m PROFILE/2157787. I can’t see all the comics in a single A-Z listing. I have to do an extra click to see comments.

A fine example of fixing something that wasn’t broken to make it worse.

If ‘Expand’ does not work in IE, right click within the image, then select “View Source”. Scroll down to line 1034 and highlight what’s between the quotes (http://assets.amuniversal.com/da1146204c640134aca6005056a9545d), Copy and then Paste in a new window. Click on the magnifying glass, and Voila – full size, full strip BCN: Yay!

I hope that that you those of you who vow to quit the new GoComics site in frustration will reconsider-since Georgia Dunn gets a bit of money for each viewer this is the only regular income stream from the strip right now.

By the way, I do notice some things that may nnot t have been so clear in the older format-like the anxious look in Pucky as he runs to get the roll removed from his little leg and the smile on Elvis as he admires the spin.

I use Internet Explorer. The “expand” feature on the new GoComics site does not work. I tried what other commenters have suggested. That did not work. I even signed up for an account and it still does not work. I am so disgusted! I just want to read ‘Breaking Cat News’! I don’t want to have to get a new browser. Please make my favorite comic accessible!!
