I am convinced that the guy who invented smores, was really in big pharma, trying to increase the market for metformin and glipizide.

They’re just cooking the hot dogs wrong. It should be stomped or whapped, it should be whomped.

Frank Zappa would have loved it. So much he called an album “Burnt Weeny Sandwich”.

Soil-Encrusted, burnt hamburgers, I remember. And I didn’t have Hobbs to share the pain … and taste in my mouth.

Looks like the majority of the food I cooked in Boy Scouts except that one side was burned to a crisp and the other was raw.

“Oh, I love food cooked out, Hobbes! Outdoors, you get your own choice of what you dislike the least: hard to say; when your only choices are burnt, charred, or incinerated!”

When I was a kid, we couldn’t afford jelly so I had to make good with pb and honey. In an effort to avoid cancer causing bacterial toxins and rat turds, I have converted to soy-nut-butter, which also provides complete meat protein.

Those were the best as a kid. The ones that started off pink and wound up charred black and stained your bun black. The ones that got stomped in the dirt were my faithful German Shepherd’s favorites.

I always liked hotdogs cooked on the burnt side… but then again, it’s a potential cancer risk.
