Sounds interesting, but Dez is that college friend who is amazing and different, but is so much a part of the growth of new ideas that come in a college experience, Including naked yoga in Kathmandu. Not that Bernice will do that, but I am sure they will come up with something creative. Something romantic. This skipped over the weekend, and SUnday, while involving Frank and Nancy, was very romantic. So I argue the theme continues with Bernice and Piro the mysterious, attractive one. For those who are bored because its not a gag-a-day sorry, but for those who love to follow what might come next this is fascinating.

A little while longer as Desdemona’s roommate and a little more of that daily dose of “tea and biscuits” and Bernice will build up the confidence and fortitude to say “hello” to Piro. Maybe some day soon. And, meanwhile, let’s give Tiffany a break! Let Gunther notice her in a way different from when in Pitts H.S.

Look, IF He is indeed ‘homeless’ as many have suggested, that last bag of popcorn You two shared was probably the last DECENT meal He’s had. Why don’t ‘cha just give Him 30 bucks and tell Him to go to Chipotle and ’knock Himself out?’

I don’t remember which cartoon this was, but awhile ago, there was a cartoon about a couple who were probably getting over an argument and going to bed. She was lying there worrying about why he was not talking to her at all, and if he was waiting for her to apologize or what, or even if he was thinking about a trial separation.

Meanwhile, the thought balloon above the guy’s head showed that he was thinking about why his car was having trouble starting.

It would be interesting to see side-by-side frames about Bernie and Piro. Bernice would be agonizing about whether to invite Piro out for coffee (would he think it was a date, would he expect her to ask him back to her place, etc.). Meanwhile, the thought balloon over Piro’s head would be about whether he should ask some friend if he could crash on his couch again, or whether it was too soon and he needed to find another place to stay that night…

For those of you commenting on the temperature in Katmandu not being conducive to outdoor yoga sans clothing, you may want to do a bit of research on the climate of Katmandu. I do not think what you learn will match with what you think you know, unless summertime lows in the 60s and highs in the 80s are freezing for you.

I hope you are not implying that all introverts (or even all shy folks) suffer from Schizotypal Personality Disorder. As for Piro, to date we have evidence that may support introversion but a Schizotypal Personality Disorder diagnosis is likely a reach at this juncture.

And I did not have to look it up. Interesting that you assume I would have to do so.

I am puzzled by what you may have seen of Piro that would lead you to think of Schizotypal Personality Disorder. He has not shown signs of odd beliefs, particularly, or a lot of distrust of others. Wouldn’t that be needed for him to have this disorder?

Piro’s behavior of crashing in other people’s places is, in this day and age, not unique. But how could he do that if he distrusts others? The guys I dealt with back when I was a volunteer on the crisis switchboard who were living rough sometimes did fear others, but a lot of that came from experiences they had during combat…

Okay. I am laughing, Brd. The title “Buzz Aldrin encounters a Dalek but lives to tell the tale” is GREAT. I wonder if the place holder words will soon be replaced by a short article? Then again, with the types of place holder words used i wonder if some butchers got extra business from induced cravings? It did make me wonder if the local markets will have Italian sausages on sale this weekend.

Caldonia said, 29 minutes agoIt seems Bernice is emotionally in junior high. Which is so entertaining (if you’re boring).Hmmm, let’s see about the boring in that nasty sounding comment…I have always done volunteer work, since my midteens. Before starting into retail i helped Vietnam Vets against the War help returning military personnel with everyday adjustments like finding housing, starting schooling, etc. while in retail management i also got tapped as the speaking voice of a weekly radio program – not something i tried out for but i knew the producer and he asked me to do it so i did for a few months even though it really was not me. During those years i also worked part time on the side as an assistant stage manager for rock concerts. Then i cared for my mother during her final illness and helped keep our family out of bankruptcy since they did not have health insurance. When i then went to school as an adult student i got to be student curator of a comparative anatomy teaching collection, worked with some apes (chimps and gibbons)’ some prosimians (lemurs and slow loris), and with a wide range of New World monkeys. During those years i also had two summers when i prospected for Paleocene-Eocene boundary fossils, and one when i assisted in a study of wild pithecia in Suriname.Life has been tamer since marriage but our friends include some celebrities who are celebrities for real, earned reasons rather than just for being celebrities (just a few), and some famous scholars, and i have been fortunate to be useful for some projects that have interested me.So, i guess i must be terribly boring since i find this an interesting arc.Personally, i find very little to be as boring as incessant complaining. It too often means someone is unable to move ahead in a constructive way, and i really prefer discussions with constructive people, no matter what they have as their passions.

How is she “over thinking” this? Seems to me she is doing enough. Where as others may not do their due diligence and go off half-cocked.I see your point, but she is not doing a business venture. She is working out how to approach Piro to let him know that she is attracted to him. She needs to reach out in a way that seems most natural for her. If he is scared away or otherwise uninterested, well, that is important information. Transparency seems best. That’s what I meant by “overthinking”.

“I think that’s why M~T put the word in quotes.”.Quite possible.I took the quotes to mean “magic” was being used as a euphemism for marijuana-laced, along the thoughts behind

    Urban Dictionary: magic browniewww.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=magic%20brownie

“Any type of brownie cooked with Cannabis butter (Cannabutter) in lieu of standard butter.”.Especially since we recall they were brownies and that was not in quotes..But, I can be wrong, happened 37 times last year.

I have a question for the “old-timers” here. To your knowledge do the characters in Luann always tell the truth (as they know it)? This could be a Luanniverse axiom: While some characters are jerks, they never (or rarely) lie. I want this to be true. “Real life” is quite different in that respect.
