Oh, if this was only foretaste of what this strip could become: Bernice and Luann sample the Big Apple and decide that is where their future lies. Yes, TruFans, Luann can bring Puddles – and leave the rest of Luannville in the dust of their U-Haul trailer as these two gals start an new life, in a new city, with a new cast of characters. Why Greg Evans could even rename the strip “The New Luann”

There’s also precedent in the saying: “Put your big boy (or big girl) pants on”…i.e., to to “find the courage to undertake something”. This phrase could be a variation, intended to play off of that one, and tailor it to “the undertaking of a fun trip”….

Wonderful comments, all of you! Greg, rock on!… I hope Pru comes too, and the chemistry of the “Three Musketeers” could be terrific. Incidentally, this reminds me of an Indian comedy drama film, “Queen” (directed by Vikas Bahl) about an Indian young woman, jilted by her fiancé just before the big wedding, who then decides to go on the honeymoon (to Amsterdam and Paris) by herself. She learns about the world outside her familiar milieu, and makes some wonderful friends. But this of course is with two (very diverse) friends. Tally Ho, Luanne & Greg!

Pru likely will know hidden spots, the best affordable restaurants, and where to buy excess tickets to the off- Broadway and off-off-Broadway shows. If Man of la Mancha is having a revival, especially done in the round anywhere it would be great for them. Pru may also know the free days for museums, and how to use student IDs for best buys to events and places. Knowing so little about her we do not know if she has made a personal fun study of interesting hidden spots, underground music clubs, architecture, gargoyles, historic spots, etc. and then there are the standard cool things to see and do…

Lonnie, the Smithsonian is in DC. I suspect you are thinking of the American Museum of Natural History (AMNH) which locals often just call “the museum of natural history” but which curators call “the American Museum” with AMNH used as to designate the museum on casts of their specimens before the identifying number.

Oh, unless you meant an art museum, Lonnie. In that case there are several including several important ones. The biggest is the Met (Metropolitan Museum of Art) which, like the American Museum, can take a whole day and not be finished.

There are also a pile of small museums. My current favorite is the fashion on at FIT (Fashion Institute of Technology)"

Question: will Bernice return with a piercing, a tat, or both? Luann? I think Luann needs a delicate tat armlet saying, freedom, if she goes that way, but a tiny hip rose would be more standard, as would one or two more earring holes in her ear lobes. Personally, i think Bernice would look cuter with a row of hoops going up one ear lobe, but the other just having one earring.

When the Harry Potter series was ending in print, the bookstores gave out bumper stickers. One said “Trust Snape”, which I still have in my garage. I suggest the same thing for this story line, “Trust Pru”. Miss Prudie is not some kind of evil person, just a friendly lady who wants her friends to enjoy the things she knows about. She will not steer them into trouble because she respects them as they will learn to respect her.

Yes, Met, MOMA, Cloisters, Guggenheim and maybe one or two dozen smaller ones.

I still have to go to Fraunces Tavern, which is a big oversight for part of my ancestry like the Woodhulls in me, but there are things which become more interesting w age. And, no, Turn is NOT accurate despite being fun. And, yes, i grew up in and around the area that is not well depicted in that show.

Anyway, AMNH remains my favorite of the NYC museums.

Oh, and the Cooper Hewitt is a Smithsonian Design Museum so maybe that is what the original NYC museum poster meant!

Things i want for Mr. Gray:1. A romantic night at the Fuse with Mrs. Berger. I imagine it involving either singing or dancing, maybe both, and have to wonder if his Las Vegas stage contacts will play into this.2. A partnership in the Fuse. The DeGroots seem rather lost on how to turn a profit.3. The bright idea of having amateur nights at the Fuse.

I see Bernie as eventually becoming a multilayered individual. This might be preceded or reflected in her wardrobe which i imagine becoming an ecclectic mix. Besides multiple earrings in one ear running up the side from the lobe and one in the other ear, i imagine her eventually doing things like wearing contrasting satin shells under checked flannel shirts, or using a cardigan sporting an antique cameo with a deeply cut evening gown.

the proper form is: a <, then img src=“url” then a >the URL has to be for the image alone, not a page containing it. After the closing URL quote, it’s often a good idea to put in a width=“number” then the closing >, with number being something like 300 to 400 to keep the size down.

I thought Bernice didn’t want to go on a trip with a lesbian, but I was wrong, and I’m glad I was. Pru has replaced Delta in the threesome, and I am ready to see them go on this adventure. So, Bern, clean out your closet and drawers. Put all those flannels and white cottons in a sack and dump them in the trash bin. Then get yourself over to Victoria’s Secret, and don’t leave the store empty handed.
