wow. didn’t see that coming

who’s got Holly?

Seems that there’s a lot of things about being a mutant that most mutants haven’t quite come to grips with yet.

Oooo, that’s gotta hurt.

I guess you could say… “tongue got your cat”.

All of this brings up the reasonable question of who is really an asset in this trip, and who’s the real burden—despite Hollys earlier assessment!" (Apologies for the apostrophe missing from Holly’s!)

Talk about being tongue-tied! Kirbee has proven she’s a lizard of many talents in the survival dept.

The biggest question in my mind is whether the sink hole that they’ve been outrunning is still growing. If it is, Kirbee may have just ensured that she and Chic will join Wally and Holly at the bottom of the hole.

Maybe they’ll find another underground city.

I like this Kirbee, every day she shows us a new trick.Wally should really consider kicking Ms. Crazy into the hole and siding up to Kirbee. The Girl has got talent.

That gives a whole new meaning to Wally’s reaction when Kirbee kissed him

Wally’s tail is all pouffy again!

I noticed that poofy tail…cats do that when scared or mad. Nice touch! And I do believe he shoved Holly up and out before he fell in…..yeah for Kirbee…she’s quite a gal! She’s got my vote.

Ok, I now concede that there is very little chance of Clive coming back. Or of any of the bags of supplies being recovered. There’s even a good possibility that some of the dittos have been lost. Unfortunately, this still doesn’t address the question of just what the Topsiders are after. If they really are all that profligate with their equipment and have that much to throw away (ref. the rocket mission) they could have just fired the earthquake missile when the MUTTs were still on the ground. Then, they could just make more MUTTS.

Really brilliant comic today.You can really see in her face that Kirbee doesn’t really know what she she is able to do (like loosing her tail).And now Wally know what that mysterious felling in his belly was as Kirbee kissed him ;)

so she’s a chameleon? Seriously she’s turning out to be the most useful survivalist up here, which make her being the ditzy one in her colony all the stranger…

I almost wish Allgood was there to witness this. You know that kind of rescue would totally go against his values…

Two things:Wally’s got big tail..And everything tastes like Cat feet for Kirbee..

Holly should now know another thing that Kirbs is good for…

I wonder if Kirbee knew she could do that.

One more thing to freak out Holly. She may flash back to the monster with the long prehensile tongues that attacked her before the End.

Kirby really licked that problem.

My gal Kirby is looking more and more as one great partner.

As far as weaponry: the question is whether the TS are developing new weaponry or are using the residuals from the wars they were fighting prior to the virus being released. The TS are the remainder of the Apex group whose job seemed to be stirring up tensions and then fighting. THey would likely have a considerable stockpile of weapons and experiments to go through in their desperate attempts to wipe out the mutants, all the while their population is shrinking….

This seems to be a return to the beginning of the story when Holly and Wally was saved by Angus after Holly dived off the clock tower and Wally jumped after her.

tuckerandpurrs,“The TS are the remainder of an Apex group whose job seemed to be stirring up tensions and then fighting.”Is this something you surmised from reading the strip or did Aaron actually mention it on Paetron?Given that Apex left crates of weapons and ammunition where they could be easily stolen in a country torn by civil war (see Wally’s Bordavia flashback on the Opabinia Queen), it wouldn’t be surprising that Apex might have a group whose business was to stir up civil wars they could profit from. I just don’t remember any specific reference to a group that did that, or of any official Topsider backstory, beyond the assumption that they were associated with Apex.

Kirbee is part Half-Life barnacle.

Kirbees face and the simple “Ow” made me smile every time.She is a great character….. doing the right things without thinking great. She may be a “simple” person – not the smartest one and a bit gullible – but that must not be a bad attribute as we see.
