In Japan (I saw it also sometimes in Singapore and S.Korea) a Tip could be taken as an insult, because it is the narrative to give ALWAYS the best service. Tipping them would mean, that they normally don’t give their best and handle customers different if they get a tip. The “tip” for good/best service is included in the price you pay.
