Those are just the warm up. Look forward to the one where you are in a fight and your punches have the stopping power of a bag of cotton balls.

These Are Not The Dreams You Are Looking For From Not Always Right :

My mattress is long overdue for a replacement and, while I’m pretty sure what I want already, my dad convinces me to shop around with him for a day.

Our first stop is a local mattress store that neither of us has been to before. After a minute or so of browsing, a grinning salesperson comes up to us, asks us what we’re looking for, our price range, etc. All’s normal so far.

My dad and I mumble between each other for a bit.

Me: To the salesperson “We’re just browsing for now and still have a few more stores we want to check out. This was only our first stop.”

The salesperson, still smiling and now making direct eye contact, says:

Salesperson: “You don’t need to go anywhere else. We have everything you need right here.”

Her words are complete with a small hand wave at her hip punctuating each statement.

Dad and I catch each other’s eyes with a “Did you just see that?” look before thanking her for her time and making a beeline for the exit.

We were safely on the road again before we finally burst out laughing at the salesperson who tried to Jedi-mind-trick us into buying a mattress from her! That store went out of business shortly after, so I don’t think it ever worked, either!

You inherited those dreams. You and every other person on the planet. Some experiences really are common.

Let’s see, dreams about having to go back to high school or college because somehow I didn’t finish one class needed for my degree.

Dreams that I’m naked and trying to find clothes but also no one seems to react to me being naked.

I am 66 years old and still have “school” dreams. Usually it’s that I am wandering the halls and can’t find my classroom….and the school looks totally unfamiliar. At least I no longer have “fire” dreams like when I was a kid.

Mine is I can never find where I parked my car. Also at my late age, I find myself back in the service and wonder what I am going to do with my house and possessions.

When I was in grad school, I found out after the first mid-term test that I wasn’t enrolled in one of the classes I’d been taking. The professor fixed it for me, I think because I had the highest grade on the test.

You’ll eventually move on to more adult dreams, one where at work, naked.

Does anyone else dream of owning a gigantic house, with huge, oddball rooms. There’s a western themed living room (wagon wheel chandeliers, etc.), a huge parlor full of cabinets full of knick-knacks, a bathroom with at least a dozen showers, and a kitchen straight out of the 70s.

Still have school dreams and the public toilet one. Another is when I’m driving and the brakes aren’t working. Although, I think the worst is dreaming that I overslept and am late for work. Then, I’m wide awake at 2 a.m.

It’s been 8 years since I graduated college, and I still get first-day-of-college dreams: can’t find my class, can’t find my schedule, etc. I’ve always been a good test taker, relatively speaking, but apparently my subconscious fears that first day… which I did experience twice

I guess i’m unusual in that i don’t remember ever having a dream about being naked. I’ve no sense at all of what i’m wearing.
